1. Summarize the2018 Infectious Diseases Society of America clinical practice guidelines for seasonal influenza

2. Interpret recent clinical trials examining the use of Baloxavir for influenza treatment and prophylaxis

3. Describe the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations for influenza vaccination

4. Identify potential challenges in providing patient care for influenza in the setting of the COVID-19 pandemic

5. Explain how to develop an influenza treatment or prophylaxis plan for patients

At the completion of this activity, pharmacy technicians will be able to:

1. List the symptoms of seasonal influenza

2. State the side effects of Baloxavir

3. Describe the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations for influenza vaccination

4. Identify potential challenges in providing patient care for influenza in the setting of the COVID-19 pandemic
