Dear RISHP Member,

On Tuesday May 25, 2010 the RISHP will be holding a continuing education seminar at Chelo’s on the Waterfront. As part of the program, your delegates to House of Delegates at the ASHP Summer Meeting will be hosting an open forum to get your feedback on the policy proposals and statements. There are 26 proposals that will be decided at the House of Delegates. We cannot review them all! We have picked some of the most pertinent to discuss at this program. To foster meaningful dialogue, the slide presentation outlining the issues to be discussed is attached.

We also want your feedback on other issues that are not specifically targeted for discussion. The complete text of the Board of Directors Report on Councils is also attached. This is a comprehensive document that states the proposal and describes the rationale of the Council. The proposed ASHP Statement on Bar Code Verification during Inventory, Preparation, and Dispensing of Medications is also attached.

We hope that you will review these documents even if you are not planning on attending the meeting. Martha and Linda will be available to discuss your concerns and comments after the program.
