• "Profiles"- the official newsletter of RISHP, provides drug information updates, information on legislative and regulatory affairs, and pharmacy practice issues related to the Society.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP:

Active Members:

• Licensed pharmacists who support the purposes of the RISHP as stated in the Society’s Constitution and By-Laws.

Associate Members:

• Supporting:  individuals other than those who qualify as active members who support the purposes of the RISHP, however are not licensed pharmacists (e.g. spouses, non-pharmacist representatives, etc.)
• Student:  individuals enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in an accredited College of Pharmacy
• Technician:  graduates of a technician training program who are currently employed in an organized health care setting

OBJECTIVES of the RISHP:

1. Developing professional standards to improve quality of pharmaceutical services
2. Assuring a high quality of professional practice through development and maintenance of standards, professional ethics, and education, and through the promotion of economic welfare
3. Dissemination of pharmaceutical knowledge among pharmacists and other allied health professionals in determining rational drug use.
4. Developing and conducting educational programs

 

HOW TO JOIN...

To join,  please fill – out the membership application form. Mail the completed form along with your check for the appropriate dues and the registration fee and your first monthly CE dinner program will be waived.

Current Dues:

Active or Supporting: $60.00/year

Technicians: $20.00/year

Students: Free

Because RISHP is the state affiliate of the ASHP, concurrent membership in the ASHP is strongly encouraged (although not required). Concurrent membership in the ASHP provides RISHP with a stronger voice in the ASHP.
