Upon completion of this learning activity, pharmacist and pharmacy technician participants will be able to:
Describe the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) policy making process. Identify the roles and responsibilities of the ASHP House of Delegates. List two policies being voted on at the 2017 ASHP Summer Meeting. Describe the consequences of antimicrobial resistance on patient safety. List several different outcomes and the process metrics in Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (AMS). Explain the Joint Commission Standards for AMS starting January 2017.
